Maria, Founder of Bilingual Montessori Schools Beautiful Minds

“After seven years of having a corporate career in large international companies, I discovered the Montessori approach after the birth of my son. Maria Montessori’s writings completely changed my life and my vision of the child. This was the start of two years of reflections, trainings and observations at Montessori schools in France and abroad which inspired me to start my own Montessori school in 2013, aimed to develop the potential of each child.”

Véronique, French-speaking Teacher, 2-3 y.o.

“Strongly marked by the question of teaching and the position of the child in relation to the education offered to him, I have continued to investigate this since my Master’s degree in philosophy. “Help me think by myself” Maria Montessori echoes this research. This is where I have found the way to help young children to fulfil their potential and respect their wish to learn by themselves. Since the beginning of my training as an Early Childhood Educator in 2013 at the Saint- Honoré training centre in Paris, I have attended several courses at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori. My internship at the end of my studies to become an early childhood educator was at the Beautiful Minds school in Courbevoie in 2015. Then I worked in a nursery and completed my Montessori training at ISMM in France where I obtained the diploma of assistant 0-3 years old and then as a Montessori educator 0-3 years old at Maria Montessori Institute in London. Since 2017 I am proud to offer to children aged 2-3 years old all my enthusiasm and experience in Beautiful Minds Montessori school.”

Haiying, English-Speaking Teacher, 2-3 y.o.

“Following a second Master of International Business in France, I started my career as an international comic books and art project manager. So until the birth of my two daughters, I didn’t realize I would one day go along with them on a Montessori journey. Falling in love with my husband with Maria Montessori’s teachings, we let them experience her philosophy at school as soon as they were two and a half years old. They are now big girls and a true testament to the beauty of love and humanity. To further my own Montessori adventure, I started the Association Montessori International training in 2018 and obtained my 3-6 Montessori teacher diploma in 2019. I then had the opportunity to work in a 3-6 environment in Beautiful Minds Puteaux school in 2019-2020. The experience I had with children from the 2-3 class that year amazed me. How well they integrate and enjoy the new environment! How spontaneously they pick up activities, and how eager they are to learn more! Each of them an astounding human being already! This year I am fortunate to work in a 2-3 class in Beautiful Minds Courbevoie school, and I get to observe them a bit closer. It is a joy working with them, laughing with them, conquering difficulties with them, and of course watching them grow. I feel thankful for this wonderful experience, and look forward to guiding them on their own Montessori journey.”

Pauline, French-speaking Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“I have always been passionate about child psychology and I truly enjoy contact with children. Firstly, I decided to do Early Childhood Teacher Training. During this training, I had the opportunity to work at a Montessori school, which was how I discovered the methods of Maria Montessori. I was impressed by the respect for the capabilities and the learning pace of every child and also by the autonomy that Montessori material can develop in children. After my training I worked at a crèche. The welfare of children was always extremely important for me, so I put a lot of effort into the personalisation of every child’s care. Finally, after four years at the crèche, I decided to follow the 3-6 Montessori Teacher training offered by the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori where I obtained my diploma recognized by Association Montessori Internationale. Since September 2013, I work in the 3-6 y.o. class at Beautiful Minds.”

Eveleen, English-Speaking Teacher, 2-6 y.o.

“My first introduction to the Montessori pedagogy was during an internship in a Montessori school for my Care and Education of Children 0-6 Certificate, in Ireland. Fascinated by this child centered approach I decided to learn more, and in 2011 I completed my Montessori 3-6 Teaching Diploma with the Portobello Institute, Dublin. After many years of travelling I joined Beautiful Minds, Courbevoie in 2016 and I am proud to be part of a team who are so committed to the care and development of each individual child. Continuing with my own personal development, I completed the AMI 6-12 Assistants Certificate in June 2020, with the Maria Montessori Institute, London. I am currently working toward my 6-12 elementary Educator Diploma with l’Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori, Paris.”

Julie, French assistant, 3-6 y.o.

“After studying psychology, I decided to specialize in childcare and education. I worked for ten years in different places taking care of young children aged 0-3 years. Both privately and professionally, I trained myself in different pedagogical approaches and methodologies (NLP, non-violent communication, positive psychology, mindfulness, humanology…) which have always pushed me to broaden the scope of my consciousness, and thus my professional approach. Passionate about artistic activities and personal development, I place at the heart of my work a fundamental importance to the well-being and creativity of each child by accompanying them in the respect of their uniqueness. Since September 2019 I am pleased to work with children in the 3-6 years old class in Beautiful Minds Montessori school in Courbevoie.”

Claire, French-speaking Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“After 10 years in sales positions in the banking sector and then in communications, I wanted to reorient myself towards a meaningful and human-oriented job. I became interested in education when I was pregnant with my son, and that’s when I discovered Montessori pedagogy. After my first experience as a teacher in a traditional elementary school, it became obvious to me that it was the Montessori pedagogy that I wanted to teach. So, I followed the AMI training of a 3-6 educator at the Maria Montessori Institute in Paris, and graduated in 2019. For me, Montessori pedagogy embodies above all respect for the child and his potentialities. It is also full of hope for the future of our children because Maria Montessori advocated education for peace. More than a pedagogy, for me it is a philosophy of life that I strive to adopt and share in all aspects of my daily life. I have been a part of Beautiful Minds since September 2019. I chose this school because it is faithful to Maria Montessori’s pedagogy and applies her principles with authenticity. As well as for its team that is very committed to transmitting strong human values such as respect, kindness and tolerance to the children, for whom it is responsible.”

Maria, English-speaking Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“I completed my university studies in St. Petersburg, Russia in classical philology, ancient languages and literature. Languages have always been my great passion and they still are today. After obtaining my diploma, I had the chance to discover Montessori pedagogy, the ideas of which immediately dazzled me. I understood that I had to deeply study this alternative teaching method which I now employ to transform my environment and make it better. After completing my first Montessori training in Moscow, I worked for beautiful schools in Moscow and St. Petersburg as a class 3-6 and 6-9 educator for two years before moving to France. In 2020, I obtained my second Montessori 3-6 educator diploma at the Higher Institute of Maria Montessori. For me, Montessori pedagogy is a real inspiration to explore the infinite possibilities of the child, and therefore of every human being, as well as the development of an attitude that believes and stimulates the best in everyone. I joined the Beautiful Minds team in November 2017.”

Marina, Russian-speaking Assistant Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“When I studied Philology in Russia, I discovered several alternative pedagogies. Maria Montessori’s approach impressed me. In Russia I taught English and French. I discovered the Montessori atmosphere while working at the Montessori trilingual school in Val-de-Marne. While working in this school, I obtained the diploma of Montessori Assistant 3-6 years at the Higher Institute of Maria Montessori in France in 2014. The same year I got to know Maria, the Head of Beautiful Minds Montessori school, and I started my work in a trilingual French-English-Russian class. These years have only confirmed my desire to work with children in this way, respecting each other’s pace and individuality.”

Nathalie, French-speaking Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“After a career in international communication, I decided to change course and move towards a more human and meaningful profession. Impassioned by education and psychology, I quickly turned to Maria Montessori’s work and philosophy, to follow the educator 3-6 training. To me, it’s more than a method, it is a philosophy of life in which the respect and well-being of the child is at the heart of everything. Today, I am happy to help children in their development by keeping listening to their needs. As Maria Montessori said, I am convinced that education and children are the means to contribute to a better world.”

“Graduated in economics as a senior technician in computer science, I worked for several years at the university in my home country. As soon as I arrived in France, I decided to change my professional life. I have always been passionate about the development of the child. I decided to take CAP Early Childhood training. During this training I had the opportunity to do my internship in the Montessori Beautiful Minds schools. This is how I was able to discover Maria Montessori’s pedagogy, which adapts to the capacity and pace of each child. I was strongly marked by the use of material that allows the child to understand the world around him. Maija, English-speaking teacher, 2-3 y.o.

“After graduating from Information Design and collaborating with charities in London, I decided to gain experience with children. I spent two and a half years as a school assistant in my former boarding school in England. I am passionate about work with children and this led me to the Maria Montessori Institute in London where I graduated from AMI Montessori 3-6 and 0-3 years. My experience at the Hornsey Rise School in London has proved to me on many occasions the richness of what a Montessori environment can bring to children. I have been working at the Beautiful Minds School since September 2015.”

Sabrina, French-speaking teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“After 12 years in the humanitarian sector in France and abroad, my family and I settled in India, where we discovered the Montessori approach and where Maria Montessori herself spent a number of years. I was offered to teach French in the Montessori class of my daughters and I had the chance to observe the Montessori approach from the inside. This was the starting point of an evolution in my career: I decided to support children in growing at the best of their potential, nurturing their self-confidence and their autonomy – another way for me to foster Humanity in our present and future world. I graduated after a 9-month AMI-training in India and I have the pleasure to work for the Beautiful Minds’ team of Puteaux since 2016.”

Beatriz, English teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“I have been more than ten years involved in the sphere of education having carried out various roles inside the classroom, as a Music teacher, English teacher, Arts teacher and as a classroom lead teacher both in traditional and Montessori environments.
Over the years I have combined my passion for Music and my career as an Educator in different cities around the world. In 2015 my devotion for traveling and discovering other cultures brought me to Shanghai, where I completed my Montessori training and where I worked for two years as a Montessori Lead Teacher in a multicultural environment. This experience has contributed to make my professional and personal experience much more complete. I have become aware of the importance of education for the development of motivation, communication and personal growth in a global world in order to guide the children to reach their full potential in an environment of respect and freedom. Since September 2017 I am part of the Beautiful Minds’team in the Children’s House (3-6 yo) at Puteaux-Théâtre school.”

Flora, English-speaking assistant, 3-6 y.o.

“Born in Hong Kong, I lived in England, USA and now in France, so I am trilingual in English, Chinese and French. I hold an American license and a French diploma in Art. Since I became a mother, I have developed an interest in working with children and the pedagogy of Maria Montessori has inspired me deeply to continue in this way. I followed AMI-assistant for children 3-6 y.o. training at AMI-center. I also obtained my diploma of English as foreign language Teacher. I joined Beautiful Minds in March 2016 and I take care of the bilingual Children’s House (3-6).”

Virginie, French teacher, 6-12 y.o.

“During my career, when I was a manager in a health communication agency, I decided to orient myself towards the teaching profession that has always been sleeping in my heart. During this choice of reconversion, I discovered the pedagogy of Maria Montessori, which made sense to me in terms of educational support with regard to the relationship with the child. One of the fundamentals of Maria Montessori’s pedagogy to which I am strongly attached, lies in the idea of education as an aid to life. In this sense, to educate means to accompany the child socially, emotionally and intellectually, which primarily lays the foundations for internal security. But educating is also guiding children to reveal their human potential, which has an important place in their development. With 12 years of experience, having followed the training of Montessori 3-6 educator at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori and graduated by the International Montessori Association, I also followed during my course various training courses in psychopedagogy and neurosciences which have enriched my knowledge and developed my skills. The Beautiful Minds School embodies the teaching philosophy and precepts of Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. It offers the means and the particular environment favorable to the psychic and intellectual development of the child. Within the school, I accompany each child according to his needs and his desires for personal discovery in the development of his skills, following the Montessori pedagogical postulates, leading him to self-confidence and self-esteem. I provide for his emotional security by respecting his person, his singularity, his differences, his rhythms, his history, his culture and his family; by paying particular attention to what he may be feeling, his emotions, his joys, his sorrows, his desires, his difficulties and by creating a bond with him and his parents.”

Valentina, English assistant, 6-12 y.o.

“I was born and raised in Argentina. I have lived in Norway, Italy and now in France. I have over eight years of experience working with children. I discovered this passion when I started volunteering in high school in the villages near my hometown in Argentina. I became so passionate about my volunteer work that after that I became a member of several non-profit organizations. In college, I was studying to be an engineer, but I finally realized that my calling was to teach children. I left Argentina and traveled to Europe where I had the pleasure of discovering the Montessori method. This approach has completely changed my vision on how to teach. I obtained the AMI Montessori assistant diplomas 3-6 and 6-12 years old. I joined Beautiful Minds schools in June 2020.”
