Maria, Founder of Bilingual Montessori Schools Beautiful Minds

“After seven years of having a corporate career in large international companies, I discovered the Montessori approach after the birth of my son. Maria Montessori’s writings completely changed my life and my vision of the child. This was the start of two years of reflections, trainings and observations at Montessori schools in France and abroad which inspired me to start my own Montessori school in 2013, aimed to develop the potential of each child.”

Véronique, French-speaking Teacher, 2-3 y.o.

“Strongly marked by the question of teaching and the position of the child in relation to the education offered to him, I have continued to investigate this since my Master’s degree in philosophy. “Help me think by myself” Maria Montessori echoes this research. This is where I have found the way to help young children to fulfil their potential and respect their wish to learn by themselves. Since the beginning of my training as an Early Childhood Educator in 2013 at the Saint- Honoré training centre in Paris, I have attended several courses at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori. My internship at the end of my studies to become an early childhood educator was at the Beautiful Minds school in Courbevoie in 2015. Then I worked in a nursery and completed my Montessori training at ISMM in France where I obtained the diploma of assistant 0-3 years old and then as a Montessori educator 0-3 years old at Maria Montessori Institute in London. Since 2017 I am proud to offer to children aged 2-3 years old all my enthusiasm and experience in Beautiful Minds Montessori school.”

Pauline, French-speaking Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“I have always been passionate about child psychology and I truly enjoy contact with children. Firstly, I decided to do Early Childhood Teacher Training. During this training, I had the opportunity to work at a Montessori school, which was how I discovered the methods of Maria Montessori. I was impressed by the respect for the capabilities and the learning pace of every child and also by the autonomy that Montessori material can develop in children. After my training I worked at a crèche. The welfare of children was always extremely important for me, so I put a lot of effort into the personalisation of every child’s care. Finally, after four years at the crèche, I decided to follow the 3-6 Montessori Teacher training offered by the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori where I obtained my diploma recognized by Association Montessori Internationale. Since September 2013, I work in the 3-6 y.o. class at Beautiful Minds.”

Marina, English-speaking Assistant Teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“When I studied Philology in Russia, I discovered several alternative pedagogies. Maria Montessori’s approach impressed me. In Russia I taught English and French. I discovered the Montessori atmosphere while working at the Montessori trilingual school in Val-de-Marne. While working in this school, I obtained the diploma of Montessori Assistant 3-6 years at the Higher Institute of Maria Montessori in France in 2014. The same year I got to know Maria, the Head of Beautiful Minds Montessori school, and I started my work in a trilingual French-English-Russian class. These years have only confirmed my desire to work with children in this way, respecting each other’s pace and individuality.”

Catherine, Francophone educator, 3-6 y.o.

“In parallel to my studies in child and adolescent psychology I worked in active pedagogy (Pikler and Montessori). I then decided to go in this direction and I decided to go in this direction and I pursued training in this sense (Fabler and Mazlish, Piklerian reflections, etc). It seems essential to me to allow the child to be an actor in his or her discoveries and to observe him or her in order to to observe them in order to respond as closely as possible to their developmental needs. After more than 10 years with 0-3 year olds, I trained as a Montessori assistant and then as a Montessori educator for the children’s home at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori (AMI diploma). I did my my internship at the Beautiful Minds school in Coubevoie and it is with great enthusiasm and and it is with great pleasure that I join the team in September 2021.”

Nadia, French-speaking teacher, 2-3 y.o.

“Graduated in economics as a senior technician in computer science, I worked for several years at the university in my home country. As soon as I arrived in France, I decided to change my professional life. I have always been passionate about the development of the child. I decided to take CAP Early Childhood training. During this training I had the opportunity to do my internship in the Montessori Beautiful Minds schools. This is how I was able to discover Maria Montessori’s pedagogy, which adapts to the capacity and pace of each child. I was strongly marked by the use of material that allows the child to understand the world around him. In 2016 I joined the Beautiful Minds schools after having obtained the diploma of Montessori assistant 0-3 years. In 2020 I’ve graduated as a 3-6-year-old Montessori Educator at the Maria Montessori Institute. I am proud to offer to young children all my enthusiasm. I am happy to support them in their development of autonomy, while always listening to their needs. I am convinced that education and the child are the means to contribute to a better world.”

Hanna, English-speaking assistant, 2-3 y.o.

“After finishing a degree in French and Russian studies, Hanna had the opportunity to teach English in France. While in France they found a love for teaching and joined Beautiful Minds where they were introduced to the Montessori method. Hanna enjoys sharing their love for baking, singing and art with the children and appreciates the international atmosphere of the school community.”

Sabrina, French-speaking teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“After 12 years in the humanitarian sector in France and abroad, my family and I settled in India, where we discovered the Montessori approach and where Maria Montessori herself spent a number of years. I was offered to teach French in the Montessori class of my daughters and I had the chance to observe the Montessori approach from the inside. This was the starting point of an evolution in my career: I decided to support children in growing at the best of their potential, nurturing their self-confidence and their autonomy – another way for me to foster Humanity in our present and future world. I graduated after a 9-month AMI-training in India and I have the pleasure to work for the Beautiful Minds’ team of Puteaux since 2016.”

Beatriz, English teacher, 3-6 y.o.

“I have been more than ten years involved in the sphere of education having carried out various roles inside the classroom, as a Music teacher, English teacher, Arts teacher and as a classroom lead teacher both in traditional and Montessori environments.
Over the years I have combined my passion for Music and my career as an Educator in different cities around the world. In 2015 my devotion for traveling and discovering other cultures brought me to Shanghai, where I completed my Montessori training and where I worked for two years as a Montessori Lead Teacher in a multicultural environment. This experience has contributed to make my professional and personal experience much more complete. I have become aware of the importance of education for the development of motivation, communication and personal growth in a global world in order to guide the children to reach their full potential in an environment of respect and freedom. Since September 2017 I am part of the Beautiful Minds’team in the Children’s House (3-6 yo) at Puteaux-Théâtre school.”

Flora, English-speaking assistant, 3-6 y.o.

“Born in Hong Kong, I lived in England, USA and now in France, so I am trilingual in English, Chinese and French. I hold an American license and a French diploma in Art. Since I became a mother, I have developed an interest in working with children and the pedagogy of Maria Montessori has inspired me deeply to continue in this way. I followed AMI-assistant for children 3-6 y.o. training at AMI-center. I also obtained my diploma of English as foreign language Teacher. I joined Beautiful Minds in March 2016 and I take care of the bilingual kindergarten class (3-6).”

Virginie, French teacher, 6-12 y.o.

“During my career, when I was a manager in a health communication agency, I decided to orient myself towards the teaching profession that has always been sleeping in my heart. During this choice of reconversion, I discovered the pedagogy of Maria Montessori, which made sense to me in terms of educational support with regard to the relationship with the child. One of the fundamentals of Maria Montessori’s pedagogy to which I am strongly attached, lies in the idea of education as an aid to life. In this sense, to educate means to accompany the child socially, emotionally and intellectually, which primarily lays the foundations for internal security. But educating is also guiding children to reveal their human potential, which has an important place in their development. With 12 years of experience, having followed the training of Montessori 3-6 educator at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori and graduated by the International Montessori Association, I also followed during my course various training courses in psychopedagogy and neurosciences which have enriched my knowledge and developed my skills. The Beautiful Minds School embodies the teaching philosophy and precepts of Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. It offers the means and the particular environment favorable to the psychic and intellectual development of the child. Within the school, I accompany each child according to his needs and his desires for personal discovery in the development of his skills, following the Montessori pedagogical postulates, leading him to self-confidence and self-esteem. I provide for his emotional security by respecting his person, his singularity, his differences, his rhythms, his history, his culture and his family; by paying particular attention to what he may be feeling, his emotions, his joys, his sorrows, his desires, his difficulties and by creating a bond with him and his parents.”
